Yo!, I just read a little bit of information about Super Mario Galaxy 2 which is due for release early next month (11/06/2010) – this will probably be the first console game I have bought for a LONG time. This is of course the main reason I will not ‘waste’ my money on an Xbox360 or a PS3 and will stick with my Nintendo Wii. Imho Nintendo have always produced the most fun games, perhaps not the best graphics, or most realistic but fun, and that’s an important word for me when it comes to console games, if I do play one for a time it will be less than an hour so I need to be able to jump in and get into it fast.
The first Super Mario Galaxy was awesome, great fun, lots of classic Mario elements mixed with new and exciting ways to play, and also quite long in terms of game-play hours, which helps to justify the ridiculous cost of console games these days.
If I want multi player on-line gaming I will look for an MMORPG, since being spoilt by WoW. Although Heroes of Newerth was pretty badass but I didn’t want to have to pay for it when the free beta ended.
Im happy to play a PC game for hours and hours, I loved playing Portal last weekend (though it probably took less than an hours worth of game play to finish) and really look forward to Portal 2- but when it comes to consoles, its always Nintendo ftw, Ive had a Snes, N64, Gamecube and now a Wii & DS.
Nintendo is ftw and no other manufacturer has done enough to persuade me otherwise (though Natal looks awesome!)
